MobilScan OBD comprises a free software application for your phone and an OBD Bluetooth adapter, which you either buy at the local dealer or here.

MobilScan gives access to car information as defined by the ISO standards about OBD. This means that you can read out fault codes, continuously receive and display a full list of engine parameters like oxygen sensor readings, air mass, temperature sensors and other parameters used by the engine control computer (ECU).

When you want to capture the current state of the car, you may send a 'snapshot report'. MobilScan compiles information about the current state of the car, and allows you to send this as a HTML report to a receiver of your choice (e-mail, Bluetooth, ...)

NB! The MobilScan software is free, but we're trying to make a living from this, and you'll have to buy the MobilScan OBD adapter from us. If you are already a MobilScan customer, you may use your existing OBD adapter.

View vehicle data in real time

Gives an overview of the state of the vehicle.

Presents the fault code status and the current values
of selected parameters in an easily understandable way.
List all fault codes reported by the vehicle - with descriptions.
The fault code that triggered a 'Freeze Frame'
of corresponding selected sensor values is flagged
(not shown here).

Tap-and-hold it to see the data present when the fault occurred

Tap-and-hold a fault code to search Google for more information
(requires internet access)
View all the OBD sensor data obtainable from the vehicle.

Depending on the capabilities of your vehicle,
up to over 50 sensor values may be accessible in real time.

The values are read sequentially and continuously,
and the update speed depends entirely on your vehicle.
Focus on one sensor value, using a large instrument
as well as current numerical value, range, and value over time.

In this view, only the selected sensor is requested from the vehicle, to achieve maximum update speed.

You can select any (numerical) sensor by tap-and-hold on the instrument.
This view is handy for monitoring two parameters simultaneously.

Both values are presented in the same way as above, but smaller.

Only the two selected sensors are requested from the vehicle,
to achieve the best possible update speed.

You can select any (numerical) sensor by tap-and-hold on the instrument.
This view may help with more complex scenarios, allowing the simultaneous monitoring of three parameters.

One value is presented in the same way as above.
Two other values are combined in the lower half of the display.

You can select any (numerical) sensor by tap-and-hold on the instrument.

Document your observations by automatically creating and sending a report

A report (in HTML format - easily viewed in your favourite web browser) can be created from the application menu.
After creation, you are asked what to do with the report, using the capabilities present on your phone (email and other).
The report contains the fault codes read from the vehicle (with descriptions), and a snapshot of all sensor values read from the vehicle
